The reign of TERROR

Have you read the newspapers? If yes, did you find time to notice something other than the electric blues? (Indian cricket team shining all the way covering three four pages everyday. It reminds me of an article which I read about cricket long back Kabhi Jai Jai, Kabhi hai hai.) But, we are here to discuss something else, something alarming, something which presages the dark future lying ahead.

First, two bomb blasts at my hometown,Girdih in the evening took place on the same day. The Maowadi Naxalites (called MCC group) attacked the police, looted 150 rifles, few lakhs of rupees, killed 5-7 people and injured many. These gruesome figures are to draw the attention of the apathetic towards the growing magnitude of the problem.

Second instance took place at Jahanabad where Naxalites attacked on the jail and half of the inmates saw their way to freedom. Where is administration? what is police and govt. doing? Sleeping? They have the responsibility of ensuring security and development, what have we got? Chaos, terrorism , tyranny , hunger, corruption ... the list is endless.

And, this terror breeds terror. No terrorist takes birth from the womb of his mother, it is the exploitation of the society which makes him vulnerable. Then , they are used as a means to create terror and chaos. If this continues, the day is not far when people will fear even to leave their houses, and why that, they will not be safe even in their own houses.

This is a serious issue of national concern grappling the country today and we expect people sitting at the helm of power to rise from their deep slumber and take the appropriate actions before it gets too late.

One more blog.....one more comment, you know who!!!
nice to read a sensible blog of urs, well presented
We may talk of our growing GDP, but the GSP (gross social product)
of our country is still trying to find its foot outside the iron age
(dark age belongs to Africa). I beleive ignorance, illiteracy and RELIGION
are the prime causes of these social "tumours". What do u have to say?

I am sorry but I do not know who. Thanks for calling the piece sensible.I think the culprit is religious intolerance and not RELIGION, dear. India is the birthplace of several religions and religious leaders like Buddha, Nanak etc. took birth in this land only. We must be proud of it.

@ philotics: thanks for the praise. I really feel we should be concerned about it. Papers are filled with delhi blasts, mumbai blasts, jehanabad instance and many more ... seems like the whole country is burning while we are sipping our evening coffee, discussing about the health of the pet dog.

It's a pity tht you donot recognise me (go thru the comments of ur previous blogs and u will definitely remember me).......hv commented on ur blogs almost everytime.........and plz I'm not at all proud of ppl who hv created another sect just because the existing one had shortcomings........if they were really gr8, they shud have tried to improve the existing system.........can u give me one good reason for the existence of infinite number of religions?.........btw intolerence exists b'coz religion exists, scrap religions and intolerence will fade into oblivion.

A whole heartedly UNRELIGIOUS lad but not an ATHEIST.
